Mile Run
I just finished a mile run for class today. I’m in a ton of pain right now. It’s not that muscle pain but that chest hurt lung feeling you get after your run really hard. I ran the mile a 6:54 mile which is pretty good because it was on a dirt track that wasn’t standard size. The dirt track ads about 20 seconds to your time so my actual time had it been on a good track where I wasn’t slipping all over the place would have been closer to 6:34 which would be 2 seconds faster than my fastest run on a good track of 6:36. So I feel good that I ran about as hard or harder than in the past. Running always feels good after but during it sure feels like hell. Next time I need to grab myself some headphones to distract me from all the pain.
